Sal has developed many successful small business projects in rural communities over the years, all underpinned by an environmental, ethical and sustainable philosophy. They included a slow food restaurant, fruit, vegetable and health food shop, nursery and handcrafted footwear and eco-store. These initiatives enabled Sal to do what she loves doing most: connecting with community and promoting environmental awareness.
Sal has a degree in Environmental Science and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management, through CQ University, Rockhampton, so she has a sound understanding of environmental processes from catchment to coast.
Away from work, Sal likes to get out and about, spend time in the vegie patch, go camping with friends and family and generally exploring this fantastic country.
Sal’s grassroots approach to life has a strong affinity with Wild Mob’s 4Cs ethos. She loves that Wild Mob’s collaborative approach inspires ordinary people to do extraordinary things, working with communities, building resilience and creating lasting change.
