As well as being a WildMob team leader, Amanda has a degree in Marine Biology, competed in the Olympic sailing team and she runs a hundred-acre farm at Portland near Bathurst with her partner.

Amanda believes in the work of WildMob because she sees so much of what made her life so good growing up in the outdoors now under threat.

She’s particularly dedicated to the schools program in the Brampton Islands as she sees how the experience changes the schoolchildren and inspires them to understand and protect their local environment.

One of her many adventures while working to protect the environment was outrunning a tropical cyclone in a 50 foot catamaran off the Queensland coast.
